Implementation of programs "Ladya", "Living Water" and "Way to Home" in Magnitogorsk

For more than three years, various educational and medical institutions in Magnitogorsk have been working on programs for prevention of risk behavior and HIV / AIDS for children and youth, "Ladya" (for children of older adolescents), "Living Water" (for primary schoolchildren) and "Way to the Home" (for university students). Classes are held in many secondary schools, in Sunday schools of city parishes, in the private school "Umka", the boarding school "Family", etc.

Since 2017, "Ladya" and "Way to Home" have been used by the team of medical psychologists as therapeutic programs for working with patients of the medical and rehabilitation department No. 2 of the Regional Drug Rehabilitation Clinic. Five specialists work with these programs. Here are a few facts: in 2017, 1,624 prs. were enrolled in prevention programs, including 398 senior teenagers and high school students from 14 to 18 y.o., 1,226 prs. - people with chemical dependence. In 2018, 641 patients of the treatment and rehabilitation department No. 2 of the Drug Rehabilitation Clinic received training under the "Ladya" program and 778 under the "Way to Home" program.

Programs are also spread by psychologists of the Center for Psychological, Pedagogical, Medical and Social Assistance in Magnitogorsk: they provide training for school psychologists and social educators of Magnitogorsk to work with all three programs. After that, trained specialists teach these programs in their schools.

Trainings are conducted for students of different classes. Many schools conducted classes on the "Ladya" program in grades 7, 8, and 9. And, for example, in school number 55 in the 2017/2018 academic year, classes on the "Ladya" were held for grades 7-11, in the academic year 2018/2019 - for grades 8-10. Here is what Alena Seryogina, the teacher-psychologist of this school, writes in her review of the program: "The classes are held after school, the interest in them is quite great. The trainees themselves, in their comments on the program, say that they have the opportunity to discuss important and necessary topics for them in a relaxed, pleasant and peaceful atmosphere without fear of being criticized ... A group of students of grade 9b, who attended "Ladya" last year, asked for continuation in this academic year. In 2018/2019, this group attends the "Way to Home", which flows organically from "Ladya".

Students get so deeply involved in the process of discussing the exercises and the issues that they sometimes forget about time and do not want to go home. And this, in my view, is an important indicator of a successful training. I believe that the "Ladya" program is today one of the most effective programs for psychologist's work with teenagers. "

Prevention programs are taught in some colleges and universities of Magnitogorsk: in the pedagogical and technological colleges, in G.I.Nosov university. Training under the programs was also carried out in Verkhneuralsky and Bredinsky deaneries, in particular, in the Kartalinsky multidisciplinary technical school, classes were held on the programs "Ladya" and "Way to Home".

On March 25-29, 2019, with the blessing of Bishop Innokenty of Magnitogorsk and Verkhneuralsk, a training for teachers, psychologists and social workers on the program "Living Water" was held in Magnitogorsk. The seminar was conducted by the trainer-psychologist Victoria Afonina. Lyudmila Sandyreva, specialist of the diocesan department of religious education and catechism, was the seminar coordinator. 23 students attended the training. Archpriest Alexy Zotov, rector of the Cathedral of the Ascension of Christ, congratulated the participants on behalf of Bishop Innokenty and handed certificates. One of the seminar participants - social work specialist of the Regional Drug Rehabilitation Clinic in Magnitogorsk, Saidova Habiba Akramovna, shared her impressions: "I want to give a positive and joyful feedback from attending the "Living Water" training (a wonderful addition to the already running programs "Ladya" and "Way to Home"). I recommend to all psychologists, social educators to attend these programs, regardless of what age groups you work with. One can live through all the exercises and feel oneself as a child, to remember yourself as such a weak and not formed adolescent. This is not a "dry" theory, but is real practical experience".
